Experienced Event Management

Innovative approaches to events and meetings that provide a powerfully memorable experience is a hallmark of TCMC’s event design philosophy.

Event Management

Associations can have ever changing needs, including the area of event management. The COVID-19 pandemic upended the operational processes of many associations in this area. Traditional in-person events had to pivot to a virtual platform on a dime and in some cases, some groups found that being able to scale this area may be an option for the future. Outsourcing event management services is certainly not a new concept in the association management realm for groups with existing staff. In some cases, it is now an option to be considered as budgets tighten and the access to varying levels of expertise and skills to various event platforms becomes vitally important—skills and experience that don’t always reside in one or two people within an events department. We don’t know what permanent effects the pandemic will have on meeting and events. However, it’s all but certain the industry will be forever impacted, and that innovation and adaptability will be the cornerstones of successful outcomes. Our team believes that while there are challenges, there also opportunities. We can help your association navigate these uncertain currents of change with an eye to the future.

Advantages of outsourcing your event management services with The Core Management Company include:

  • Access to various levels of event management expertise and skills without having to hire them.
  • Working with professionals who have years of combined experience working with multiple types of associations and also poses an executive-level perspective to strategy and planning. Through our experience, you can save your association from the risk and unsettling feeling that comes with trial and error—because it’s likely we’ve already done the experimenting.
  • We look at events from not only an operational perspective, but a strategic one. We ask the crucial “whys” of an event’s purpose and objectives while also ensuring the minute details are given due attention.
  • The ability to scale event management operations to fit a certain budget or operational need.
  • Reduction of employer related liabilities and costs, including real estate needs.

Some of these approaches include:

  • Video Content / Commercials.

Case Studies in Transition to Virtual Events

The Core Management Company transitioned all our clients to virtual events for the better part of 2020. During September through December, we produced five virtual conferences with a combined total of approximately 2,000 attendees, over 100 educational sessions, and 50 exhibit booths.

As an association management company, we serve a wide array of associations. For one of our clients, the decision to move their scheduled in-person event to a virtual one was exceedingly difficult, but it paid off. They experienced an increase in attendance by almost 15% and a net profit of 600% over the initial in-person budget! The virtual conference received such great reviews that the Board of Directors would like to have the conference offered as a hybrid option going forward.
